Pita Taele to coach Premier Reserves

Marist St Pats is pleased to announce Pita Taele as the coach of our Premier Reserves for 2023.

Hailing from Auckland, Pita comes to Marist St Pats with coaching experience at both a club and high school level, including with St Patrick's College. He holds a DRC Level 2 coaching accreditation.

Pita sent us this note on his appointment: 'Firstly, I’d like to thank our father in Heaven for guiding me to a fantastic club with great people and awesome history. Thank you also to Venus (Mike Tolova'a), Li’i Alaimoana, Nic Fitisemanu and Marist St Pats for entrusting me with the opportunity to coach the Premier Reserves this year.

My coaching accomplishments have been with  Onehunga High School for girls 7's and 15's; Waitakere Rugby Club (Auckland), West Roosters (Wellington), and 15B’s St Pats College (Town).

I’m from Auckland and a “Blues” supporter, so please don’t hold that against me!

My goal now is to give 100% commitment to help with the already effective learning environment at Marist St Pats, to help players and myself/coaches, to hone their skills to achieve our goals as a whole for the benefit of the teams and club.'

Pita has already been involved at pre-season training and we wish him success with the Premier Reserves this season.
