Big wins and a draw against Johnsonville

Many grades enjoyed big wins on a damp Saturday afternoon, while our Premier Men have escaped with a draw.

Our Premier Women started the day with a big win over the combined HOBM/Wainuiomata side by 68-5. Georgia Daals and Monica Tagoai each scored four tries!

In the Harper Lock Shield, our Premier Reserves earned their third win from four games with a 36-3 win over Johnsonville.

Our Premier Men faced a tough battle with a surging Johnsonville, finding themselves down by 12-24 at half time. They came out of the break with far more intent and dominated territory and possession for the majority of the half. Despite Johnsonville repelling waves of attack, a try on full time saw them game tied at 31-31.

Earlier our Colts had their first competition game of the season with a big 74-0 win over Wainuiomata. They've got a busy week ahead with their annual match against St Patrick's College 1st XV for the Xavier Reidy Cup on Tuesday, followed by a Friday night match against OBU.

The Presidents remain unbeaten after two rounds following a 35-17 win over Northern United, while the Under 85s had a loss to Paremata-Plimmerton by 10-48. The Internationals won without taking the field owing to a default by Wellington.
