Statement win for Premier Women

Our Premier Women made a statement with a 57-10 win over grade heavyweights Oriental-Rongotai at Polo Ground. Nine different players scored tries in a win that propelled them to third on the table with just one loss from four games.

In the Swindale Shield our Premier Men will be licking their wounds after a lacklustre performance against Old-Boys University at Rugby League Park. Finding themselves down 0-22 after 25 minutes and having barely touched the ball, it was too big of a hole to climb out of. Second half tries to Zack Paterson, Viliame Rarasea and Milan Kriletich salvaged a bonus point in the 26-41 defeat. They face winless Wellington next week at Hataitai Park.

In the early game, the Premier 2 Men were competitive but fell 22-31. At the same venue on Friday night our Colts held a late lead over OBU but a late try sunk them 22-24.

The Internationals remain unbeaten with a 55-0 win over OBU 'Teddy Bears', while the Under 85s continued their tough start to the season with a 8-82 loss to OBU.

Our two Netball sides kicked off their season with big wins, Netball 1 beat Wellington Girls 4 by 34-24 and Netball 2 demolished Vic Uni 12 by 36-1.
