Premier Women book spot in final

With a week to go in the Tia Paasi Memorial Trophy round robin, our Premier Women have booked their spot in the final.

The team racked up their eighth win in a row with a 27-12 win over Oriental-Rongotai at Polo Ground. They face Northern United in the final round that will determine seedings and their opponent for the final on 17 June.

Our Premier Men will be regretting lost first half opportunities in their 12-35 defeat to top of the table Paremata-Plimmerton. They crossed the line three times in the first half but dropped balls and forward passes ruled out a momentum shift in the game. Trailing 7-21 at halftime, they couldn't get back in the game.

Our Premier 2 Men on the other hand had a strong win over their Pare-Plim counterparts, coming away 40-24 victors.

On Friday night our Colts battled to a 27-27 draw against a strong Oriental-Rongotai team. The only other grade in action for the long weekend were the Under 85s who went down by 24-43 to Wellington.
