Lopsided wins for Premier Men and Women

Our Premier Men and Women have both enjoyed lopsided victories as the season starts to heat up.

Our Premier Women started the day with a 82-0 win over Avalon at Fraser Park. Drenna Falaniko and Monica Tagoai scored four tries each, with the latter now leading the competition with 12 tries for the season. The team are now sitting in second place with a big match looming against competition leaders Northern United in a fortnight.

Our Premier Men also enjoyed a big win over Wellington at Hataitai Park. After conceding a try in the first five minutes, it was one way traffic from there. The team scored 11 tries, with Logan Love and James Tuiatua each scoring two. They return home next week to host Hutt Old Boys Marist.

Our Premier 2 Men travelled to Stokes Valley to play their top side, they fell 27-35. The Internationals had their first loss of the season to Paremata-Plimmerton going down 19-24.

The Presidents remain unbeaten for the season with a 17-7 over Paremata-Plimmerton; the result for the Under 85s against Tawa in the National Under 85kg Championship was not available at time this is published.

The Colts had a bye.

On the netball courts, our two sides also remain unbeaten with the Netball 1 side beating SMOG 32-11 and the Netball 2 side beating Kia Ora by 54-6.
