Premiers advance to the Jubilee Cup Final

Our Premiers beat a strong Tawa side for the second consecutive week to advance to the Jubilee Cup Final. There they will look to earn the club's 15th title.

The semi final started at a frantic pace with captain Isaac O'Connor yellow carded in the first 5 minutes. But during that spell our strong forward pack mauled 20 metres to allow No.8 Peni Tokacece to crash over for the opening try. After Tawa struck back later in the half, the Red Machine lead 13-10 as the sides broke for oranges.

Tawa started the second spell strongly scoring a try almost immediately; but MSP struck back quickly with another try to Tokacece in the corner. From there the home side spent long periods on attack but it was penalties traded that eventually saw Marist St Pats take the spoils.
