Following the end of the 2023 season, Marist St Pats appointed Sean Horan as the Club’s new Director of Rugby. The former Bay of Plenty and Black Ferns Sevens coach set about developing a strategy to return the club to its core values with a focus on Respect, Excellence, Welcoming, Integrity and Legacy.
Heading into the 2024 season, Sean adopted a dual-role as Head Coach of our Premier Men’s side to set the standards across the Club’s coaching teams and develop coaching talent. The intent was to steady the ship as Head Coach for one season and appoint a new Head Coach for the 2025 season.
As such Marist St Pats now welcomes expressions of interest for the role of Premier Men’s Head Coach for 2025.
Alongside this, Marist St Pats is excited to also welcome expressions of interest for the role of Premier Women’s Head Coach for 2025. After a year on hiatus, Women’s rugby will return to Marist St Pats in 2025 with a core group of players already committed to the side. The appointment of a new Head Coach will be the key next step in the return to the grade.
