Big wins for Premier Men and Women

On another glorious autumn day in the capital, our Premier Men and Women have recorded big wins over Eastern Suburbs neighbours.

Our Premier Women kicked off the day at Kilbirnie Park against Poneke. It was all one-way traffic with a 69-0 victory. Young winger Justine McGregor scored three tries on debut, not bad for a player who just turned 16!

In Swindale Shield action, our Premier Men bounced back from last weekend's defeat with a 59-0 over the Wellington Axemen at Evans Bay Park. There were strong performances across the field, but debutant Chicago Doyle was named player of the day at the clubrooms in the evening after being involved in no less than three tries.

Our Premier 2 Men got their season underway at Polo Ground against Oriental-Rongotai in a close 19-25 defeat.

The Under 85s result wasn't available at time of publishing.
