Internationals unbeaten, Premier Women beat Petone

After six rounds the Internationals remain unbeaten in the Reserve Grade, Division Two competition after a 29-24 win over Tawa.

The Premier Women got back in the winners column with a 35-17 win over Petone. Captain Jaydah Timu celebrated her 50th Premier game.

Out in Porirua it was a tough afternoon for our Premier Men and Premier 2 sides. With the squads depleted by injuries, the Premier 2 side fell to Norths by 17-51.

In the Swindale Shield match, it was looking like it would be a long afternoon when Norths ran in two tries in the first two minutes. But determination and the boot of Andrew Wells kept the side in the game at halftime, narrowing the deficit to 9-21.

Much of the second half momentum was in our favour and tries to Ryan Setefano and James Tuiatua got the team within five points, but Norths were ruthless with any opportunities given and the final score was 26-24. Congratulations to Meinrad Fitisemanu who earned his blazer for 50 Premier games.
