People's Choice XV announced

Throughout the season we've run a series of polls asking our supporters to contribute their thoughts on Marist St Pats' best players over the past 50 years. The key jubilee events will take place over Queens Birthday Weekend 2020. They will include an anniversary dinner, lunches, a club Mass, MSP club games, social events, memorabilia displays and announcement of MSP's 50th anniversary team. Marist St Pats Bereavements

The Club was also saddened to learn of the passing of Liz Metcalf, wife of Bob Metcalf, long serving Shamrock Club Committee member and supporter. Bob also played for the St Patrick's College Old Boys Club prior to the 1971 merger and has been active in all facets of Marist St Pats life over the years. The Club extends its deepest sympathy to Bob and his wider family.

It is with great sadness that the Marist St Pats family acknowledges the passing of Anna Tait-Jamieson, wife of long-time supporter and former Junior Club Convener Dan Tait-Jamieson. Marist St Pats extends its condolences to Dan, his family and the wider Tait-Jamieson family.

Around the traps:

Billy Proctor and Naitoa Ah Kuoi both featured in the Wellington Lions victory over Canterbury last Friday night... Jane Bryce, Ana Afuie, Maki Takano and Kelsey MacDonald were named in the Wellington Pride squad for the Farah Palmer Cup. The Pride have their first competition game this Saturday against Canterbury... Colts captain Sam Baylis toured Gisborne and Hawkes Bay with the NZ Marist Colts team last month... Congratulations to former Premier player and Club Treasurer Paul Churchman who got engaged in New York this week... Junior rugby finishes this Saturday with their Prizegiving on Saturday 14 September... The Sevens season is upon us, watch out for training details on our social media pages... Local sports company Toki Services has announced a new community Sevens tournament, the Fa'atonu Fili 7s Classic, to be held on 5 October. Named in honour of Marist St Pats and Eastern Suburbs legend Fa'atonu Fili, the tournament aims to 'provide an opportunity for the community to rock up and rugby'... The Marist St Pats Annual General Meeting will be held at the clubrooms on 28 November... Expressions of interest in coaching at Marist St Pats will be sought soon, keep an eye out...
