Premier sides advance in playoffs

Our Premier Men and Premier 2 sides have won their quarter finals and will both play Poneke next weekend.

Our Premier 2 side kicked off the weekend's playoff games facing higher ranked Hutt Old Boys Marist at Hutt Rec. A clinical performance saw them claim a convincing 47-17 victory. They advance to play Poneke at Kilbirnie Park in next week's Ed Chaney Cup semi final.

Our Premier Men faced Wellington having dropped into the Hardham Cup side of the playoffs. They too had a convincing 45-12 win over the winless Axemen and took the opportunity to bring in five debutants to the side. They will host Poneke in next week's semi final.

Around the grounds the Internationals notched up another win, 52-17 over Tawa. The Under 85s beat Wellington 15-10 for the Richard Kilkenny Cup. The Presidents tied with HOBM 21-21.

The Colts had the weekend off, but will take on Oriental-Rongotai in their John E. Kelly Memorial Cup quarter final.

In the Netball, our Netball 1 side lost to Wellington East 10 by 24-30; our Netball 2 side remain unbeaten after at 35-24 win over Nga Mokopuna 2.
