Our thriving Women's team have become regulars in Division One after rejoining the grade in 2016. The side has a great culture and enjoys a mix of veterans and players who are new to the game.
Marist St Pats is committed to developing the women's team and many members believe this team is an integral part of the clubs success both on and off the field. The side is blessed to have an experienced Premier player Ryan Setefano as their coach for the past seven seasons. There is a real focus on building the skill level of the team and providing a supportive environment to new players.
2022 was arguably our most successful season with the side winning the Challenge Cup and contesting the Tia Paasi Memorial Cup Final.
Our Womens side boasts Black Ferns Monica Tagoai and Lyric Faleafaga, Hurricanes Poua player Ana Afuie along with a number of representatives in the Wellington Pride in the past few years.
Our all-weather training facilities and many specialist coaches make the club a great place to develop your game all while having a bit of fun.
In season training training is on Monday and Wednesday nights at the Evans Bay gym and training grounds.
Games are generally played on Saturday morning, normally at 11.30am. Off-season the team gets together for training and takes part in other sports to maintain fitness and skills.
The team and club will always welcome and encourage women to take up rugby at MSP and anyone interested should email us for more information.
