Murray Tocker joins Premier coaching team
Marist St Pats is delighted to announce that eight-time Jubilee Cup winner and MSP Life Member Murray Tocker will join Andrew Robinson and Bernie Upton in our Premier coaching team for 2018.
Murray needs no introduction to Wellington rugby supporters following a stellar playing career in the 1970s and 80s which has then been followed by a very successful coaching career. A 2013 article by Adam Julian details this in length.
He has won five Jubilee Cups as a player and three as a coach, most recently in 2012 - in a side he co-coached with Clayton McMillan and featured Bernie Upton!
Since his last stint in our coaching team Murray has followed the fortunes of his beloved Red Machine closely while also taking the role of President of the Wellington Rugby Football Union in 2016.
With a strong side returning for 2018, Murray is excited to get to work with Robbo and Bernie as he looks to add another Cup to his resume.
