Premiers bounce back with clinical performance

Our Premiers have put in the work at training through the week to produce a clinical performance to beat Upper Hutt Rams 35-7. Earlier in the afternoon our Premier Reserves beat Upper Hutt 31-14 and our Colts beat Poneke 17-12.

In the feature game at Evans Bay it was a first half arm wrestle with three penalties to Fa'atonu Fili the only scoring of the first half.

The second half was largely one way traffic with a stoic defensive effort building pressure and creating opportunities to score. Our locks Sean Bridge and Ben Nansett were outstanding at lineout time regularly stealing opposition ball which kept the Rams on the back foot.

On the score sheet, tries to Michael Buckley and Ha'amea Ahio were followed by a double to super-sub Lucky Tuia who secured a bonus point on full time.

Our Premiers and Premier Reserves host Wainuiomata next weekend at Evans Bay Park
